Rachel Joy Ellis is a sought after cellist in the DFW area. Born and raised in New Jersey, Rachel has crafted a unique and soulful sound that will move any audience. She holds a bachelors degree from Rowan University under the tutelage of George Atanasiu, a performance diploma and a masters of music from Southern Methodist University where she studied with the renowned Andres Dias and other artists such as Sinéad O'Halloran of the Marmen Quartet, Joshua McClendon of the Isidore Quartet. Her intense training and deep passion for music honed an ethereal sound that will enchant and uplift any occasion.
